Primate MTG Data from Jorstad et al (PMID: 37824638) - This dataset consists of single nucleus transcriptomic data from the middle temporal gyrus of human, chimpanzee, gorilla, rhesus macaque, and common marmoset. Libraries were generated using either 10xV3 or SMARTseqV4. [species]_MTG_data.rds *contains normalized counts matrix of all 10x and SS nuclei. Matrices were normalized using Seurat's SCTransform normalization for each 10x donor and for SS across all donors. *metadata contains 19 columns including: - region: brain region sampled in the study (MTG) - dataset: source of data (Allen Institute, Linnarsson lab, etc.) - donor: donor ID - species: common name of primate - tech: Smart-Seq or 10x (with tech version) - neighborhood: 5 broad cell categories (IT and non-IT excitatory neurons, CGE and MGE- derived inhibitory neurons, non-neurons) - confirmed_subclass: cell subclass (24 subclasses in total) - cluster: within-species cluster IDs (ranges from 103 to 151 IDs across species) - metacells: within-species metacell ID - cross_species_cluster: all 594 clusters across species were aligned to create a cross-primate taxonomy comprising 86 cross-species clusters. This label indicates the cluster name from this taxonomy. - is_consensus: 57 of 86 cross-species clusters are shared across all 5 primates. This label indicates whether a cross_species_cluster is one of the 57 consensus clusters or not. - UMAP_1, UMAP_2: contains 2-dimensional UMAP coordinates for all [species] nuclei in the integrated space.
